2012 and 2013 Featherstone Black Sheep Riesling Review

One of my favourite Ontario VQA wines is the Featherstone Black Sheep Riesling. It is less sweet than your typical Riesling and has an off-dry taste. It's called Black Sheep Riesling mainly because of the sheep that eats away the vine leaves which helps to expose the grapes to sunlight, enhancing ripeness and quality. It is refreshing with a hint or Granny Smith apple and peach in its flavour.

I highly recommend it. The 2012 Riesling was rated 91/100 by Natalie Maclean. And I personally love the 2013 just as much. For me, this is a great wine for those who are looking to try out the vintages and it's at a great price point as well. Only 16.95 at LCBO.
