On the Border Review

After arriving in San Diego, we went to On the Border, which is a Mexican chain restaurant. Since we have limited Mexican selection in Toronto, we were very excited to try out this restaurant.

Since we went on the 4th of July, the restaurant was relatively empty as most people were at the beach. We ordered a small lunch combo to share with a dessert.

The nacho chips that they give for free were very tasty and we obviously asked for seconds. Since we were too eager to jump into the meal, I didn't take that many pictures of our food. )=  We thought the food was delicious (until we tried the OTHER Mexican resturants - This restaurant is still pretty good though).

I ordered a Sizzling Apple Crisp, which has tender apples with a rich crumb & nut topping served simmering with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious! However, too much to finish even though we were sharing.

3) Food - 3.5
4) Price - $
5) Service - 3.5
Overall - 3.5 - Although I enjoyed the restaurant, I felt that compared to other chains I've been to, the service and environment does not compare. However the price is significantly cheaper.
